This past weekend I headed down to Assisi with my sister.  Assisi is known for San Francesco, the patron saint of Italia, and it is one of the biggest pilgrimage sites in Italia.  Luckily, when we went, there weren’t a lot of tourists or pilgrims.  Assisi was utterly beautiful with all of the stone buildings and stone pathways – it was one of the top places that we have gone together, besides MonteCassino and Tivoli.  Though the day was overcast, we had a wonderful time wandering into the cute little shops and getting lost.  (taken 21.2.2015)
