La Capella Palatina is a wondrous work of art inside of Palazzo Reale, or the Royal Palace of Palermo.  As seen in the pictures, it combines many different styles, once more, like Islamic mosaics, Byzantine mosaics, and a wooden ceiling that is extremely rare (rare because ancient wooden ceilings were usually the first to be destroyed – not many this old are left).  I also almost forgot to mention that the phrase in the book is both in Italian [right side] and Latin [left side] – I think it’s those two languages.  (taken 25.2.2015)
