I headed to Rijeka, Croazia the next day for a little sightseeing tour. Once more, I took the autobus which took about two hours. Unlike in Slovenia, I had to go through a boarder patrol between Slovenia and Croazia. It shouldn’t have been worrisome but it was. On my way in, they looked at my passport for a rather long time – much longer than the other people’s documents. And on my way out, the guy asked me several questions about why I was in Italia and asked to see my permesso di soggiorno for Ferrara. It made me feel like I had done something wrong when I hadn’t. The trip took us through mountains that reminded me a little of my road at home, with mountains and fields. (taken 3.4.2015)
