A few weeks ago I decided to explore a section of Ferrara that I had been meaning to go to but had not been to yet: San Cristoforo.  It is in the far corner of Ferrara, within the walls, and quite a hike from my house.  The grounds contain the cemetery for the city which I went into.  It was rather eerie – no one was in the cemetery, and there were the big, looming tombs (like little houses) all around.  Perfect scene for a murder film.  It’s sad though because a lot of the cemetery was blocked off, and I couldn’t go into the church because they are still working to fix things since the earthquake several years ago (history of Italia – they are still working on fixing il castello also).  (taken 10.4.2015)
